We are seeking a seasoned and innovative professional to lead our activities programming at RiverSpring Senior Living, a world-renowned long-term care organization in the North Bronx.

RiverSpring Senior Living serves over 18,000 older adults daily, offering a full range of care solutions including nursing home care, assisted living programs, senior housing, rehabilitation services, and specialized services such as elder abuse prevention and memory care. Our beautiful 32-acre campus overlooks the Hudson River and provides a unique setting for residents to thrive.

Job Summary

The Director of Life Enrichment will design and implement comprehensive day-to-day activities and programming that enrich the lives of our residents, promote positive engagement in the community, and foster family ties and friendships. This role requires creativity, dynamic leadership, and a passion for delivering exceptional experiences.

Responsibilities
  • Create and develop a diverse calendar of activities and programs that cater to the interests and needs of our residents.
  • Manage and supervise engagement coordinators, independent contractors, wellness vendors, and volunteers to ensure seamless execution of events and programs.
  • Develop and implement community-wide and off-site programs that enhance the lives of our residents and exceed their active aging lifestyle expectations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Recreation Therapy or a related field, plus five years of work-related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of Aging and Disabled populations, with a preference for licensure or registration nationally or by New York State.
  • At least three years of supervisory experience and a minimum of one year of experience as an Activities Director in a Long-Term Care/SNF/AL/MC setting.
  • Two years' experience in Dementia/Alzheimer's environments, focusing on programming, activities, or social services.
  • Demonstrate a dynamic, engaging personality, creative abilities, and a desire to be innovative and flexible.
