About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse Abdominal Transplant Coordinator to join our team at Methodist Hospital Specialty and Transplant.

Job Summary:

  • Perform comprehensive assessments of patients, including psychological, physical, environmental, and functional needs.
  • Provide tailored education to patients and their families regarding their disease process.
  • Serve as a valuable resource for patient, family, staff, hospital, and community education.
  • Communicate effectively with all members of the transplant team, including hospital staff and referring physicians.
  • Participate in data collection and entry in patient medical records as required by regulatory agencies.
  • Accurately and timely document assessments, interventions, and follow-up actions.
  • Coordinate care throughout the transplantation process with the transplant team.

Requirements:

  1. Mandatory: Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program.
  2. Prefer: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
  3. Mandatory: Minimum 1 year RN experience.
  4. Mandatory: Valid Texas RN License and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
