Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

Nucor is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Rebar Fabrication facility in Flowood, MS. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment to ensure safe and efficient production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in good working condition
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
• Generate parts lists and labor estimates for maintenance and repairs
• Train colleagues on new equipment and modifications to existing equipment
• Maintain accurate repair records

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance and repairs
• Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 or more years of experience in an industrial plant
• 2-year degree in mechanical, electrical, or related field
• Knowledge of AC & DC motors, VFDs, power transformers, and programmable logic controllers
• Experience with electrical safety and operation of forklifts, mobile cranes, and other mobile equipment
