Job Description

Job Title: Office Manager

Job Summary:

The City of Atlanta, GA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing administrative, financial, and clerical functions, as well as providing exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and direct office activities, including planning and implementing special events and programs.
  • Ensure efficient operations, including managing budgetary records and online City of Atlanta accounts.
  • Prepare reports and provide customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Supervise and train staff members as needed.
  • Collaborate with administrative personnel from other offices and the business team to develop and refine standard operating procedures and protocols.

Requirements:

  • Associates degree in secretarial science, business/public administration, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a progressively responsible secretarial, clerical, or administrative role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business/public administration and 3-5 years of office management experience.

Work Environment:

Candidates must be willing to work flexible schedules, including some nights and weekend days, to support office and various City projects and events.
