Job Overview

A reputable heavy equipment dealer is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join their team. As a key player in ensuring the optimal performance of heavy machinery, this individual will be responsible for performing basic diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough diagnostic assessments to identify issues with heavy equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment downtime
  • Collaborate with other technicians to resolve complex repair challenges
  • Develop and implement efficient maintenance schedules to maximize productivity
  • Comply with all safety protocols and regulations when working with heavy equipment
  • Document maintenance activities and repair outcomes in a timely manner

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance or repair
  • Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in heavy equipment repair
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues
  • Ability to lift at least 75 pounds repeatedly
  • Familiarity with CAT and JCB equipment is a plus
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
