Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and completing painting assignments to meet client requirements, including quality levels and delivery schedules.Key Responsibilities:
- Review blueprints and job folders to ensure a clear understanding of the task at hand.
- Regularly update the immediate Supervisor on paint schedule progress.
- Properly store and handle paint according to MSDS standards and guidelines.
- Maintain equipment and paint booths.
- Ensure all details and tools are moved to the proper staging areas in a timely manner.
- Prepare jobs for painting before moving them into the paint booth.
- Maintain a clean work area, including doors and floors outside the Painting Booth.
- Inspect tooling after painting, identifying and inspecting at critical junctures.
- Ensure proper tools are used for Quality Control checks.
- Operate forklifts and cranes safely.
- Track painting material flow daily.
- Order paint and supplies to meet demands.
- Manage waste removal for paint and supplies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Three to five years of related experience and/or training.
- Indoor production and office environment.
- Bloodborne pathogens.
- Cuts and/or burns.
- Small and/or enclosed spaces.
- Dirt, dust, grease, and/or oil.
- Noisy environment.
- Metal shavings.
- Poor ventilation.
- Hazardous conditions.
- Commercial chemicals.
- Medium work, including moving objects up to 50 pounds.
- Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like.
- Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks.
- Operating a motor vehicle, forklift, and/or other heavy equipment.
- Picking, pinching, typing, or otherwise working with fingers.
- Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions.
- Reading instructions, operating machines, and inspecting parts produced.
- Repeating motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and operation of machines.
