The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Medicine Division of Infectious Diseases is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Clinical Research Nurse 2 to join our team at the UHealth Medical Campus.

About the Role

This full-time position involves ensuring the integrity and quality of clinical research studies, adhering to practice guidelines, federal regulations, and institutional policies. The successful candidate will play a key role in participant recruitment and achievement of research objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, troubleshoot, and report data collection issues to managing staff.
  • Identify desired research outcomes, evaluate, and monitor subject responses.
  • Conduct initiation visits, register patients in clinical studies, and perform study data collection and entry using medical records and relevant communications.
  • Procure equipment and supplies needed for project requirements, educate staff and subjects about protocols, treatment, possible side effects, and complications.
Department Specific Functions
  • Provide clinical trial support in the clinic setting, ensuring patients follow Good Clinical Practice standards.
  • Assist in obtaining participant informed consent, spending time with patients and/or family/friends to provide detailed information about the clinical trial.
  • Educate staff and participants about protocols, treatment, possible side effects, and complications, assess and document adverse events and concomitant medications.
  • Work closely with protocol Clinical Research Staff to ensure Serious Adverse Events are documented and reported per protocol and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Valid Florida RN license.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, tuition remission, and more.
