Critical Care Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Nurse to join our team at Del Sol Medical Center, a full-service acute-care hospital in east El Paso, Texas.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate nurse to provide high-quality patient care in our Acute Medical Unit. As a Critical Care Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing patient conditions, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional outcomes.
Job Summary- Assess patient conditions during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in patient medical records.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor patients for therapeutic responses, and take appropriate action in the event of unintended medication responses.
- Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- RN licensure in the State of Texas/Compact.
- BCLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification (Exception: New graduates must obtain within six months from date of hire).
- Associates Degree or BSN.
- Critical care background, dysrhythmia recognition, proficiency in EKG, and basic computer skills.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
