We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our esteemed medical team at Natomas Family Practice.
About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated healthcare professional to work alongside experienced physicians and medical staff in providing top-notch patient care. As a Physician Assistant, you will be responsible for examining patients, collecting their medical history, and making tentative diagnoses on minor and major issues.
You will also be reading diagnostic tests and reports, interpreting data, taking the time with each patient to explain their test results and medical diagnoses, and prescribing therapy or medication with a physician's approval. The ideal candidate has an excellent bedside manner, experience charting in a medical environment, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:- Examine Patients and Take Medical History: Conduct thorough examinations of patients, document their medical history, and maintain accurate records.
- Interpret Diagnostic Results: Read and interpret diagnostic tests and reports, making informed suggestions based on the data.
- Communicate Test Results: Explain complex test results and expected health outcomes to patients in a clear and concise manner.
- Prescribe Therapy or Medication: Prescribe medication or therapy under the supervision of a physician as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.
- Collaborate with Medical Staff: Work closely with medical assistants, other Physician Assistants, and Physicians to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- A valid state license is required.
- A DEA license is necessary.
- An NPI is also mandatory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Experience with medical terminology, charting, and diagnostic tests is preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills are necessary.
