To be successful as a Speech Language Pathologist, you will possess:

  • A Master's degree or higher in Communication Disorders from an accredited university, recognized by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • A current license or registration as a Speech Language Pathologist in your state

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive speech therapy evaluations according to medical orders
  • Documenting findings using standardized evaluation formats
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans with long-term and short-term goals
  • Ensuring medical orders are obtained for evaluations, treatments, recertifications, and discharges
  • Providing treatment to patients utilizing various modalities and adapting treatment plans as necessary
