Job Description

The Advanced Metal Fabrication Specialist will be responsible for analyzing specifications, laying out metal stock, setting up and operating manual and CNC machine tools, and fitting and assembling parts to fabricate and repair metalworking dies, cutting tools, jigs, and fixtures, gauges, and machinists' hand tools. This role requires a strong understanding of metallurgy, machine tool operation, and CNC programming, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Metal Fabrication: The ability to work with various metals, including steel, aluminum, and copper, and to fabricate complex components using manual and CNC machine tools.
  • CNC Programming: Proficiency in G-Code programming language and the ability to write and edit advanced CNC programs for multiple machines via machine controllers and/or offline CAD/CAM software.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and develop creative solutions.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Education and Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in metal fabrication, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
