Job Summary

The Department of Cardiology at Corewell Health in Southeast Michigan is seeking a full-time Electrophysiology Specialist to join our team.

The Corewell Health Dearborn Electrophysiology lab performs advanced procedures, including leadless pacemaker implants, His bundle pacing, cryoablation, and complex device extractions in a hybrid OR.

Opportunities to participate in left atrial appendage closure procedures are also available.

The Heart Rhythm Center is staffed Monday-Friday from operating 2 electrophysiology labs. Physicians are supported by a combination of nurses and RCES certified cardiovascular technicians.

Available 3D mapping systems include, Abbott, Ensite Velocity and PhillisKodex. Device implants, device extractions and ablations including Atrial Fibrillation Ablations, by Radiofrequency or Cryoablation. One day per week for follow-ups and consults. Interpretation of Holter/Event monitors.

Qualifications:

  • BE/BC Cardiology
  • Fellowship in Electrophysiology
  • Interest in teaching and supervision of medical students, residents and fellows
  • Unrestricted License - Michigan MD/DO
  • Unrestricted DEA License

About Corewell Health Beaumont Dearborn Hospital:

Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital has served residents across southeastern Michigan since 1953. With 632 beds, Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital is a major teaching and research hospital and home to three medical residency programs in partnership with the Wayne State University School of Medicine.

It is a verified Level II trauma center and an accredited primary stroke center by Joint Commission. The hospital is also known for clinical excellence and innovation in the fields of orthopedics, neurosciences, women's health, heart and vascular and cancer care as well as other specialty services.

The physician is responsible for the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of the health problems presented by the patients.

Qualifications:

  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required Or
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 120 Days required
  • CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required
