Job Description:

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Software Control Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience designing, developing, and maintaining complex electrical and electronic systems for metal additive manufacturing machines. This includes controls design, power design, servo system design, and PLC design.

Responsibilities:

  1. To use existing standards, procedures, and practices effectively.
  2. A strong understanding of compressors, engines, or power electronics is highly desirable.
  3. To participate actively in team development and team-oriented processes, motivating others to do the same.
  4. Accuracy and attention to detail is crucial.
  5. To startup and debug complex systems efficiently.
  6. Understanding of optimization techniques is a plus.
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  8. PLC servo motion control integration experience is required.
  9. Experience in automating processes is highly desirable.
  10. 3+ years of PLC programming experience is necessary.
  11. To read electrical schematics effectively.

Education/Experience:
Required:
B.S. degree in Electrical, Robotics Engineering, Computer Science or related fields is necessary.

Other Skills:
Strong communications skills, both verbal and written, as well as proven effective teamwork are required. Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or similar CAD systems, programming experience with C, C++/C#, and a strong background in Mechatronics, specifically servo motors and feedback control systems, are highly desirable. Familiarity with Spice or similar circuit simulation, Client, Delta Tau, Beckhoff (Safety) PLC & EtherCAT I/O, and experience/familiarity with PC-based/rack-mount control systems are also required.
