Data Specialist Job Description

The Data Specialist is an entry-level position at MV Transportation that involves seeking and collecting relevant data, as well as documenting the information being processed. This role requires gathering data, interpreting statistics, writing reports, and designing charts and graphs.

Key Responsibilities:
Identify data sources and collect data
Organize data into usable formats
Analyze data to find answers to specific questions
Assess the quality of data and remove or clean data
Generate information from data sets and identify trends and patterns
Prepare reports for leaders and project teams, including charts, graphs, and detailed or summary reports

Requirements:
Associate's degree in a related field preferred
Prior related experience required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Power BI
