Job Title: General Maintenance Technician

Spectraforce Technologies is seeking a skilled General Maintenance Technician to join our team in East Liberty, OH. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.

Job Summary:

The General Maintenance Technician will perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment, including HVAC, air compressors, pumps, and plumbing systems. You will also be responsible for completing preventive maintenance activities, such as measuring wear, replacing expendables, and inspecting operating characteristics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment, including HVAC, air compressors, pumps, and plumbing systems.
  • Complete preventive maintenance activities, such as measuring wear, replacing expendables, and inspecting operating characteristics.
  • Repair and maintain lighting systems, including replacing lighting components, ceiling tiles, and ceiling grid.
  • Operate and maintain CMMS software to track and manage maintenance activities.
  • Ensure a safe and clean working environment by adhering to 5S and COP principles.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in facility/plant engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Driver's license.
  • HS diploma or GED equivalent; Vocational Tech, Trades School, or Military Occupational Specialty preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Experience with HVAC, air compressors, pumps, and plumbing maintenance.
  • Basic electrical and mechanical skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of computers and software, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts, including fractions, percentages, ratios, and solutions to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Understanding of business implications of decisions, treating people with respect, inspiring trust, following policies and procedures, and supporting organization's goals and values.
  • Experience and adherence to OSHA guidelines, including Lock-out/Tag-out and HAZCOM guidelines.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

The physical and environmental demands required to perform the essential duties of this position include standing, walking, sitting, coordination, balance, and agility demands. The work areas may be indoor, outdoor, with loud noise, active machinery, high-pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights, and depths. The use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous contact.
