About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Executive Pastry Chef to join our team at The St. Regis Longboat Key Resort in Longboat Key, Florida. As an Executive Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.

Responsibilities

">

Your responsibilities will include:

  • ">
  • Preparing and cooking food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist">
  • Preparating cold foods">
  • Operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers">
  • Testing foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently">
  • Monitoring food quality while preparing food">
  • Serving food in proper portions onto proper receptacles">
  • Washing and disinfecting kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment">
  • Checking and ensuring the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food">
  • FOLLOWING ALL COMPANY AND SAFETY AND SECURITY POLICIES AND PROCEDURES;">
  • REPORTING MAINTENANCE NEEDS, ACCIDENTS, INJURIES, AND UNSAFE WORK CONDITIONS TO MANAGER;">
  • COMPLETING SAFETY TRAINING AND CERTIFICATIONS;">
  • ENSURING UNIFORM AND PERSONAL APPEARANCE ARE CLEAN AND PROFESSIONAL;">
  • Maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information;">
  • Protecting company assets;">
  • SPEAKING WITH OTHERS USING CLEAR AND PROFESSIONAL LANGUAGE;">
  • DEVELOPING AND MAINTAINING POSITIVE WORKING RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHERS;">
  • SUPPORTING TEAM TO REACH COMMON GOALS;">
  • LISTENING AND RESPONDING APPROPRIATELY TO THE CONCERNS OF OTHER EMPLOYEES;">
  • ENSURING ADHERENCE TO QUALITY EXPECTATIONS AND STANDARDS.">

Requirements

To be successful as an Executive Pastry Chef, you will need:

  • ">
  • A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent;">
  • At least 1 year of related work experience; and">
  • No supervisory experience.">

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $65,000 per year, based on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
