We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Lead Direct Support Professional to join our team at SARAH SENECA Residential Services, Inc. in Branford, CT.

This role is responsible for providing medical liaison services, scheduling doctor appointments, and working closely with the nurse to ensure the health and well-being of our residents.

The Lead Direct Support Professional will also assist the Program Manager with the house schedule and recreation calendar, and will be responsible for training new staff on how to assist individuals with personal care, complete medical appointments, and finance oversight.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and support to individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, current driver's license, and valid DDS Medication Certification. At least one year of previous experience with developmental disabilities in a residential setting is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical liaison services, including scheduling doctor appointments and working closely with the nurse
  • Assist the Program Manager with the house schedule and recreation calendar
  • Train new staff on how to assist individuals with personal care, complete medical appointments, and finance oversight
  • Ensure shift responsibilities are being completed and checks and balances are in place

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current driver's license
  • Valid DDS Medication Certification
  • At least one year of previous experience with developmental disabilities in a residential setting
