About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation and Fleet Services Manager to join our team at the Hampton Roads Community Action Program (HRCAP). This is a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of individuals and families in southeastern Virginia.

Job Summary:

The Transportation and Fleet Services Manager will be responsible for coordinating the provision of transportation services, maintaining fleet vehicles, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Transportation Services: Coordinate transportation for staff, clients, and agency resources, ensuring timely and safe delivery of services.
  • Fleet Maintenance: Maintain regular maintenance on all agency vehicles, including inspections, repairs, and fuel management.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to Federal, State, and Local regulatory standards and procedures, as well as HRCAP's Safety Policies, Rules, and Regulations.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of vehicle mileage, maintenance, and other relevant data.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with staff, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Experience: At least 100,000 verifiable accident-free miles or more than 2,500 accident-free hours; experience managing and maintaining an RV/bus without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Valid commercial driver's license issued by the State of Virginia (Class B with P endorsement minimum requirement) and applicable insurance coverage.
  • Skills: Comprehensive understanding of data systems, including tracking, reporting, monitoring, customer satisfaction, and evaluation; ability to work independently, take initiative, and be an effective team member.

Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
