Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Program Manager to join our team at the International Center for Genetic Disease (iCGD) at Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH) and Harvard Medical School (HMS). This is an exceptional opportunity to work at the forefront of international genomic medicine efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide managerial, logistical, and administrative direction to support the successful management and implementation of projects.
  • Manage projects on behalf of the Director and other leadership staff, ensuring timely completion and effective resource allocation.
  • Develop and oversee standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and efficiency in research operations.
  • Oversee the iCGD website, Cloud accounts, and GitHub repositories, ensuring seamless collaboration and data management.
  • Determine staffing needs, interface with HR, and participate in hiring decisions to build a high-performing team.
  • Manage regulatory and compliance with IRB protocols, ensuring adherence to hospital and institutional policies.
  • Supervise staff, providing guidance and support to ensure departmental and institutional required competencies, training, and certifications.
  • Promote effective communication and collaboration among team members, facilitating weekly staff meetings and other meetings as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison between the financial management team and research team, ensuring timely updates on project status and associated funds.
  • Manage course and lecture series, coordinating with keynote speakers, lecturers, and participants to deliver high-quality training programs.
  • Monitor technical issues and take immediate action to ensure seamless research operations.
  • Organize online or in-person meetings with collaborators and visiting delegations, fostering global partnerships and collaborations.
  • Oversee the schedule of the iCGD's director or supervise the assistant tasked with this duty, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree with 3+ years of related experience, or BS with 5+ years of related experience, with familiarity with sequencing technologies and applications a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Project Management, with a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus.
  • Experience with oversight of budgets, IRB, and grant application processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with interdisciplinary teams to effectively manage and deliver on project goals.
  • Familiarity with Cloud environments a plus.
