Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Paragon. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients, employees, and visitors. This is an armed position that requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or incidents at assigned locations.
  • Control access to client sites and facilities through the admittance process.
  • Respond to unusual or emergency situations using the appropriate escalation of force level.
  • Provide a high level of customer service to clients, employees, and visitors.
  • Monitor entrances and exits, and prevent unapproved or unlawful entry.
  • Patrol assigned sites on foot or in vehicle, checking for unsafe conditions and security violations.
  • Prepare logs and reports as required.

Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of two years of Armed Security/Law Enforcement experience or two years of honorable service with the US Armed Forces.
  • Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing and permit requirements for armed security work.

Working Conditions:

  • May be exposed to stressful situations, such as challenging individuals who are in or approaching an unauthorized area.
  • May be required to work overtime without advance notice.
  • Required ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently.
