Ambulatory Care Nurse

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in an ambulatory care setting. This hybrid role offers a unique blend of clinical and administrative responsibilities, providing opportunities for professional growth and development.
Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $105,000 per year, depending on experience
Job SummaryAs an Ambulatory Care Nurse, you will work under the supervision of the Nursing Director and Medical Director to provide patient-centered care in an outpatient setting. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Triage and respond to clinical communications from patients, families, and providers
- Contact patients to update medication reconciliation lists, manage prescription refills, and handle insurance prior authorizations
- Conduct insurance prior authorizations for diagnostic testing and procedures
- Track, collect, and review outpatient test results, reviewing abnormal results with supervising physicians or mid-level practitioners
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to problem-solve and function as a resource to other team members
- Exceptional organizational skills, flexibility to manage multiple tasks, and attention to detail
- Knowledge of computer applications necessary for an ambulatory setting, including MS Outlook and MS Office Suite
