The National Domestic Workers Alliance (NDWA) is a leading national voice advocating for dignity, respect, and recognition of domestic workers in the United States. As the Director of Government Relations, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our federal agenda related to worker rights, future of work, benefits, and immigration.

We envision a society where domestic work is valued as essential to collective well-being, and domestic workers are leaders shaping the care sector. With over 15 years of experience in policy advocacy, you will be responsible for developing and leading NDWA relationships with government representatives and agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement NDWA's government relations strategy to advance our federal agenda.
  • Organize legislative and administrative efforts at the federal level, especially with congressional offices, including cultivating relationships with key offices in Congress, preparing educational outreach materials, and planning events to advance NDWA priorities.
  • Represent NDWA at coalition meetings, briefings, and policy forums.

Qualifications:

  • 4-7 years of experience in policy advocacy at the federal, state or local level, including at least 2 years in Congress.
  • A demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships and partnerships with coalitions, policymakers, and community members.

Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience.
