Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Set Up Machinist to join our team at STMW Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have experience in setting up and operating CNC machines, particularly within the semiconductor industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up CNC machines according to job specifications and blueprints.
  • Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials.
  • Adjust machine settings to the desired product specifications.
  • Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces, adhering to international standards.
  • Operate CNC machines to produce high-quality components with tight tolerances.
  • Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and productivity.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot issues with machines and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
  • Minimize waste in materials, manpower, equipment, and other resources.
  • Complete quality control tests during the manufacturing stage and on the final product.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machining is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a CNC Set Up Machinist, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting technical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of CNC programming languages, such as G-code.
  • Ability to set up and operate CNC machines independently.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Inputting critical part information in the STMW ERP system.
  • Continuous improvement and process development.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing customer needs.
