This position provides direct care and clinically manages patients in the Department of Ophthalmology with a primary focus on providing ambulatory care to these patients.

The Advanced Practice Provider will have the opportunity to work alongside the Department of Ophthalmology and collaborate with other specialists to provide comprehensive evidence-based care.

Required qualifications include a Master's degree in nursing with a concentration in a pediatric or family nurse practitioner program or a graduate of a nationally accredited physician assistant program.

Active, unencumbered registered nurse and advanced registered nurse practitioner licensure in the State of Washington or active, unencumbered physician assistant licensure in the State of Washington is also required.

Additionally, current national certification as a pediatric or family nurse practitioner or initial certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants is necessary.

Active Drug Enforcement Authority registration and current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Professionals are also required.

Some clinical locations may require American Heart Association Pediatric Life Support training and continuous maintenance of certification.

Active clinical privileges as an Allied Health Provider at Seattle Children's Hospital must be secured prior to time of hire and must be maintained in good standing and in compliance with all medical staff bylaws, continuously throughout employment.

Preferred qualifications include two years of experience in an advanced practice provider role, two years of experience in pediatric healthcare, and first assist experience.
