About the Role

We're seeking an experienced and visionary Vice President of Business Development & Strategy to drive the growth and strategy of Nosis' business lines and external collaborations. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of success in business development within the biotechnology sector, with a strong ability to cultivate and close high-value partnerships, co-development agreements, licensing deals, and research collaborations. This is a leadership role reporting to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partnership Development: Identify, evaluate, and establish strategic partnerships, alliances, and collaborations with external stakeholders, including pharmaceutical companies, research institutions, and healthcare organizations.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives and long-term vision.
  • Alliance Management: Oversee the management of strategic alliances to ensure successful collaboration, alignment of goals, and mutual benefit.
  • Project Management: Oversee and manage business development & strategic projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Partnership Materials: Develop and maintain high-quality partnership materials, including pitch decks, term sheets, collaboration agreements, and other related partnering collateral.
  • Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans related to business development & strategic initiatives.
  • Communication: Present partnership and alliance plans, progress, and results to the executive team.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of business development experience in the life sciences sector.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in driving new business and forming strategic partnerships within the biotechnology sector. Success in driving platform-based collaborations is preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the biotechnology industry, market dynamics, and regulatory environment. Prior experience with RNA therapeutics, delivery technologies, or drug discovery is preferred.
  • Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, emotional intelligence, cross-functional collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Partnership Materials: Excellence in creating and maintaining partnership materials, including pitch decks, term sheets, collaboration agreements, and other related collateral.
  • Self-Motivated: Highly driven with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
