Job Summary:

As a Major Claims Attorney at Fidelity National Financial, you will be responsible for managing the disposition of Major Claims from inception to final disposition. This role involves investigating and analyzing claims, determining coverage, and recommending retention of trial, coverage, recoupment, or appellate counsel. You will also attend settlement conferences and mediations, provide periodic briefings and reports to management, and continuously assess the availability of possible coverage under excess reinsurance, E&O, and FIB coverages.

Key Responsibilities:

Investigate and analyze claims to determine coverage and potential exposure

Recommend retention of trial, coverage, recoupment, or appellate counsel

Attend settlement conferences and mediations

Provide periodic briefings and reports to management

Continuously assess the availability of possible coverage under excess reinsurance, E&O, and FIB coverages

Requirements:

Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school

Experience in title law

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
