Cardiac Care Nurse Specialist

Job Description
As a CARDIAC CARE NURSE SPECIALIST, you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing patient care plans in our cardiac telemetry unit. Your duties will include conducting comprehensive assessments, developing individualized care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes. You will also have the opportunity to participate in ongoing education and training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:
1. Earned a nursing diploma or degree from an accredited institution
2. Licensed in the State of Tennessee
3. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire
4. ACLS and Basic Arrhythmia certifications within 6 months of hire (for telemetry unit)
5. Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification within 6 months of hire (for critical care, float pool, and oncology units)
6. AACN, CCRN, or CCP certification within two years of hire (for critical care unit)
7. ONS chemo/immunotherapy certification within one year of hire (for oncology unit)
8. PALS certification within 6 months of hire (for pediatric emergency department)
9. ENPC or TNCC certification within 6 months of hire (for pediatric emergency department)

Work Environment
Our cardiac telemetry unit is a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and colleagues. You will be required to stand for long periods, lift up to 250 pounds with assistance, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
