Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Operations Specialist to join our team at Skapar Design Build. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to lead high-end residential construction projects with expertise and precision.

Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year

About the Role

This key position involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of multiple high-end residential construction projects. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing project challenges and ensuring smooth progress while adhering to timelines.
  • Evaluating health and safety standards, addressing concerns, and preventing injuries and project delays.
  • Implementing systems to organize tools, vehicles, and equipment, scheduling maintenance as needed.
  • Accurately managing project budgets and forecasting financial requirements.
  • Collaborating with subcontractors and vendors to negotiate contracts that support project profitability.
  • Overseeing contractors and laborers to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Managing construction administration, change orders, RFIs, submittals, construction documents, permits, and inspections.
  • Overseeing estimating and budgeting processes.
  • Conducting site meetings, managing project schedules, and ensuring subcontractors and vendors adhere to timelines.
  • Implementing quality control measures and maintaining a clean, organized job site.
  • Monitoring compliance with legal, regulatory codes, and company standards.
  • Coaching and motivating team members to achieve their best, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in construction management, specifically within high-end residential projects.
  • Informed decision-making under pressure to keep projects on track.
  • Strong communication, leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the construction industry, including building permits, blueprints, building codes, construction equipment, material resources, construction methods, and project management principles.
  • Experience with construction or project management software preferred.
  • PMP certification and Microsoft Office proficiency required.
  • Strong understanding of construction documents, ability to read plans, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Projects, construction software, and communication tools preferred.
