Behavioral Therapist for Developmental and Behavioral Growth

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Therapist to join our team at Woods Services. This individual will be responsible for providing behavior analytic services to small caseloads of clients who exhibit challenging behaviors in residential, school, and community settings.
Responsibilities:
- Client-Centered Care: Develop goals and objectives with each child and family that meet their unique needs by reviewing and completing evaluations, working with the family regarding treatment goals, and identifying presenting skills deficits or behaviors that require additional interventions.
- Individualized Plans: Create behavior plans/treatment plans for all clients with a focus on teaching antecedent strategies for reducing problematic behavior(s) and increasing skills and replacement behaviors.
- Data-Driven Approach: Maintain and evaluate clients' progress through progress monitoring, including but not limited to, residential/classroom observations, data collection, and ongoing assessments.
- Collaborative Work: Consult and collaborate with parents, team members, school faculty, and other school/funding agencies regarding goal-related actions to support the child.
- Communication and Parent Involvement: Maintain rapport and communication with parents on a regular basis through parent training and progress reports.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work collaboratively with related service providers, including but not limited to, speech therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and special instructors, to implement instructional strategies necessary to support each child's individual participation in residential/classroom activities.
- Documentation and Record Keeping: Prepare and provide individualized materials, including but not limited to, visual schedules, communication aids, and individualized reinforcement protocols as required by individual ISP.
- Daily Living Skills Support: Support children with daily living skills, including but not limited to, toileting, support during classroom mealtimes, hygiene activities, and classroom dressing activities.
- Comprehensive Documentation: Complete all documentation, including but not limited to: functional behavior assessments, ISP development and updating, monthly summaries, required outcome tools, preference assessments, fidelity checks, graphing, progress notes, and encounter forms.
- Supervision and Coaching: Provide clinical coaching and mentoring to paraprofessionals, including training on behavior plans and behavioral interventions.
- Parent Training and Family Engagement: Conduct parent training sessions for specific treatment goals meaningful to each client's family.
Requirements:
- A Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or a related human services field with ABA experience; BCBA eligible or BCBA preferred.
- Background in the development and implementation of behavioral interventions according to highest standards of practice.
- Expertise/training in conducting functional behavior assessments.
- Knowledge of normal human development and experience providing treatment to individuals with developmental disabilities and/or co-morbid mental health disorders.

Additional Information:
Caseloads kept small, 8-12 individuals, due to intensive behavioral programming with a strong focus on stabilization, generalization of skills, and possible reunification to a home or a less restrictive setting.
