Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate veterinary care plans to ensure high-quality animal care and welfare.
  • Provide training and guidance to colleagues on animal care and use procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including those related to animal welfare and laboratory animal science.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement policies and procedures related to animal care and use.
Requirements
  • DVM or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited institution.
  • Board certification in laboratory animal medicine (ACLAM).
  • Licensure to practice veterinary medicine in at least one U.S. state.
  • A minimum of five years' experience in laboratory animal medicine, preferably in an academic or industry setting.
