Employee Relations Consultant

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Consultant to join our team at TalentBurst. This is a 12+ month contract position based in Santa Clara, CA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic guidance to leaders and PBPs on sensitive employee relations matters, including performance management, misconduct, and interpersonal conflicts.
  • Conduct investigations into complex employment matters, partnering with PBPs, Legal, and other stakeholders to adhere to investigative best practices.
  • Drive workforce change initiatives, ensuring effective communication, risk mitigation, and support for leaders and employees throughout the process.
  • Utilize HR analytics and data to identify trends, diagnose issues, and make data-driven recommendations to the leadership team and People team colleagues.
  • Support internal projects and initiatives as needed.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of five years of employee relations experience in an HRBP or employee relations advisory role, or equivalent experience as an employment attorney practicing employment law.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong emotional intelligence, and ability to build trust, rapport, and influence across all levels of the company.
  • Experience conducting investigations and advising on sensitive and complex employee relations issues, including performance management, interpersonal manager/employee conflicts, leaves/accommodations, and behavioral/conduct issues.
  • Demonstrated experience executing on change management programs, setting priorities, staying focused, and managing time in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to organize and analyze data, and a passion for using data and insights to make a positive impact on the business.
  • Strong understanding of employment law, compliance, and ER best practice.
  • Track record of effectively coaching leaders to action in sensitive or ambiguous situations.
Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000, depending on experience.
