Are you a skilled IT security professional looking for a challenging role? We are seeking an IT Security Supervisor to join our team at the 412th Test Wing, 412th Mission Support Group, 412th Communications Squadron in Edwards Air Force Base, California.

Job Description

The IT Security Supervisor will serve as the supervisor for the Wing Cybersecurity Office Computer Security (COMPUSEC) section. This involves providing supervision and oversight of the installation COMPUSEC program, which includes:

  • COMPUSEC Assessment Program
  • TEMPEST (formerly Emissions Security)
  • Air Force Assessment and Authorization (A&A) program (formerly known as Certification and Accreditation)

The IT Security Supervisor will also enforce federal, DoD, and Air Force cybersecurity laws, regulations, and directives.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Knowledge of a full range of IT security principles, concepts, practices, products, services, and methods for evaluating risks and vulnerabilities
  • Knowledge of IT security requirements for assessment and authorization (A&A) of information systems and networks
  • Ability to analyze assessment and vulnerability findings and develop mitigation recommendations
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to plan, organize, and direct the daily operations and staff of a small to medium-sized organization
