Job Summary:


We are seeking a highly skilled Mission Systems Engineer to join our team at KBR. As a key member of our team, you will provide Systems Engineering and Technical Advisory (SETA) services focused on protection of space systems.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Oversee integration of mission protection functions/capabilities of production systems; analyze integrated master schedules, and identify operational needs in an operational setting.
  • Provide end-to-end system engineering for the entire life cycle of a program, assist in developing concepts of operations and system architectures; support readiness review process.
  • Support development of requirements specifications and interface control documentation through RFC and technical specification reviews.
  • Help develop standards, utility tools, and procedures for use on projects including risk, issue, opportunity, change, and information management.
  • Analyze and provide alternatives and recommendations to government customers, provide key information, possible risks and impacts, and potential improvements.
  • Participate in studies, represent government in forums that support streamlined delivery of new capabilities and standardization of integration efforts.

Qualifications:


Required:



  • US Citizen.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) or relevant field and nine years or more experience; Master's degree in STEM or relevant field and seven years or more relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of satellite constellations, spacecraft orbit, and ground station characteristics.
  • Program lifecycle experience from concept development and design to deployment and operational maintenance.
  • Experience with system architecture changes, systems analysis and design, requirements definition, interface control documentation; verification and validation.
  • Familiarity with NRO missions, organizations, systems engineering processes.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team, operate effectively with contractor, SETA, FFRDC, and Government teammates.
  • Self-starter, proactively addresses customer requirements; expert at defining solutions for broad topics. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deliverables.
  • Polished communicator; impeccable interpersonal skills and personal judgment.
  • Master at collaboration and coordination with multiple stakeholders -- consensus builder.

Desired Qualifications:



  • Real-time operations experience as a spacecraft operator or vehicle engineer.
  • Familiar with MBSE/Digital Engineering, AGILE development, cloud technologies.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence.
