Job Title: Patient Experience Representative I

About the Role:
Patient Experience Representatives play a vital role in supporting the delivery of exceptional care to patients and families at Boston Children's Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing positive and effective customer service that supports unit operations.

Responsibilities:
Patient Encounter Management: Collaborate with referring providers and practices to obtain required authorizations. Schedule patients and support the patient encounter process.
Check In / Check Out: Greet and direct patients, families, and visitors while monitoring daily schedules and coordinating flow with clinicians/supervisors. Reconcile payments and prepare deposits. Facilitate communication with Financial Counseling.
Administrative: Record and forward messages, triage calls for urgent information or services, and initiate emergency services as needed. Provide routine clerical support.

Requirements:
To qualify for this position, you must have a high school level of education, preferably a Bachelor's Degree. Prior customer service or administrative experience is preferred. You should also possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and be able to provide empathy in difficult situations. Additionally, you will need to work effectively with diverse internal and external constituencies.
