About the Role

This is a dynamic and challenging position that requires a unique blend of event management, customer service, and operational expertise. As a Tournament & Non-Sport Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing various events, tournaments, and activities at the Paradise Coast Sports Complex.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with event owners, coaches, and teams to ensure successful event execution.
  • Manage event operations, including contract management, marketing, promotions, and sales.
  • Participate in the creation, planning, implementation, and management of events and tournaments, with a focus on meeting revenue goals.
  • Supervise and train Sports and Operations Team Members to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Actively participate in other operational functions, including event setup and execution, attending scheduled events and meetings, and assisting other departments during outside or special events.
  • Maintain a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform to track opportunity information, contact details, and business development activity.
  • Develop and maintain Events Sales Operating Procedures (SOPs) materials for internally produced events.
  • Develop and manage relationships with business partners to leverage ancillary revenue streams.
  • Prepare and present regular reporting on events and business development, including results, participation levels, economic impact performance, and other Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Requirements
  • Associates degree and/or 3-5 years of industry-related project experience.
  • Advanced knowledge and familiarization with state, regional, and national youth sports organizations.
  • Experience in communicating and collaborating with all levels of management through written and verbal methods.
  • Superior working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • CPR/FIRST AID certifications or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
  • Ability to learn technology and sports, recreation, facility, and scheduling programs.
  • Ability to create, manage, and schedule tournament brackets and game schedules for various sports.
  • Experience coaching/teaching both youth and adult sports.
  • Experience in facility operations, tournament, and league set-up and operations.
  • Ability and willingness to work long hours during peak periods, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds waist high.
  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time, whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop, or bend.
  • Will be required to operate a computer.
  • Facility has intermittent noise.
