Job SummaryThis supervisory role involves overseeing the nursing care and related activities on our geriatric unit. You will be responsible for directing and supervising the nursing staff, ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed, and maintaining high standards of care.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and evaluate the direct resident care provided by certified nursing assistants (CNAs) and licensed practical nurses (LPNs)
- Develop and implement comprehensive care plans based on individual resident needs
- Conduct regular rounds to monitor resident conditions and address any concerns or issues
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of resident care and treatment
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents and staff
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or Science preferred
- At least one year of work experience in rehabilitative, psychiatric, or geriatric nursing preferred
- A Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Connecticut
- A competitive salary range: $73,000 - $90,000 per year
