Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Lead to join our Chattanooga regional location. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills, enabling them to adapt quickly to changing circumstances with positivity, patience, and efficiency.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide leadership and manage multiple projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and adherence to safety standards.
  2. Foster strong relationships with local contractors and vendors, effectively managing schedules, staffing, and scopes of work.
  3. Establish and communicate project schedules, adjusting plans as necessary to maintain profitability standards and timely completion.
  4. Lead contract negotiations and subcontract agreements, ensuring clear scope of work and agreement among parties.
  5. Collaborate with other WARE departments, such as safety, procurement, accounting, scheduling, and operations, to ensure seamless communication and expectations.
  6. Develop and implement recovery plans to address unexpected surprises or potential delays.
  7. Conduct site inspections to ensure agreed-upon deliverables and standards of excellence are met.
  8. Manage administrative procedures and maintain project records.
  9. Ensure punch-list and project close-out tasks are completed.
  10. Prepare inspection plans, requests for quotes, job plans, material requisitions, work orders for services, cost tracking, budgeting, monthly forecasting, and accruals.
  11. Review, validate, and approve invoices within delegated authority limits.
  12. Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports.
  13. Conduct project site visits to ensure compliance with company policies.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • At least 5+ years of full-time construction or similar industry project management experience.
  • Knowledge of skilled trades, including carpentry, masonry, concrete, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, fire protection, etc.
  • Technical expertise with practical hands-on working experience in areas like construction, operation, maintenance, and repair.
  • The ability to read and interpret detailed blueprints and shop drawings.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships internally and externally.
  • Superb organizational skills reflecting the ability to multitask and own details.
  • Tech-savviness, adaptability to new software and programs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiency in working online.
