The Opportunity

PSG Global Solutions Careers is seeking a skilled Vascular Sonographer to join their team.

As a Vascular Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing all vascular lab exams, providing quality patient care, and assisting with clinical rotations in both in-patient and out-patient settings.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Performs most modalities of peripheral vascular studies, including duplex imaging, Doppler, and plethysmography of upper and lower extremity vasculature, abdominal viscera, carotid vasculature, and/or intracranial vessels.
  • Reviews images and paperwork to ensure quality exams are complete, thorough, and prepared for review by reading physicians.
  • Rotates to multiple vascular lab locations as scheduled and required by the IAC.
  • Participates in the daily workflow by watching the technologist worklist to ensure timely patient care.
  • Schedules exams through the transport system if applicable.
  • Participates in the Vascular Lab after hours, on-call, weekend, and holiday schedules.
  • Operates all vascular lab testing equipment and software packages, including ultrasound and physiological equipment, EMR, and Structured Reporting and PACS.
  • Reports any equipment issues to the appropriate personnel and removes equipment from service.
  • Cleans the equipment and work areas daily and stocks rooms with supplies and linen.
  • Maintains up-to-date maintenance logs, including the monthly cleaning log and the equipment downtime log.
  • Attends staff and departmental meetings, as well as educational conferences.
  • Participates in discussions and keeps abreast of changes in the field.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree - Graduate of a formal/Director-approved Radiology or Sonography program.
  • One-year Vascular Sonography experience performing non-invasive vascular lab studies.
  • ARDMS-RVT or CCI(RVS) certification.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of office equipment.
  • Proficient computer skills, including word processing.
  • Thorough knowledge of vascular anatomy and hemodynamics.
  • Medical terminology - preferred.
