About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical First Assistant to join our team at Oxford Surgery Center. As a key member of our surgical team, you will provide critical support during operations, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Job Summary

The Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) provides aid in exposure, hemostasis, closure, and other intraoperative technical functions under the direction of the surgeon. This role requires strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons during operations, providing exposure, hemostasis, and closure support.
  • Perform preoperative and postoperative duties to facilitate proper patient care.
  • Work collaboratively with the surgical team to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain certification through continuing education and adhere to hospital policies and regulations.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduation from an accredited Surgical First Assistant Program.
  • Certification as a Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) at hire or within six months of graduation.
  • BCLS certification upon hire and/or transfer.
Preferred Qualifications

A minimum of two years' experience as a surgical technologist is preferred.

Estimated Salary Range

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
