Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our team in the US Hitachi Energy Sales organization, focused on our Grid Automation portfolio. This position will be responsible for building and expanding relationships with strategically important Grid Automation utility customers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and achieve Grid Automation sales targets, account coverage, and customer satisfaction targets for assigned accounts.
- Develop and implement account plans, including building executive relationships, prioritizing opportunities, and identifying targets for each solution element.
- Establish and develop account relationships in concert with Business Development Managers based on a defined strategy.
- Monitor competitors' activity with each account and ensure appropriate response strategies are formulated and implemented.
- Represent and promote products, systems, and services across Grid Automation business unit; have in-depth knowledge of all products, systems, and services for Grid Automation.

Requirements:
- 5+ years of directly related experience in sales or business development working with clients in the Grid Automation market.
- Experience working in Utility markets, preferably Municipalities and Electric cooperatives.
- Strong analytical and communication skills to determine, evaluate, and report reasons for success or failure of sales efforts, anticipate market changes, and forecast/communicate changes in customers' buying patterns and product requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while remaining organized and strategic to carry out sales account plans.
- Bachelor's degree; degrees in Engineering, Project Management, Sales, and/or Marketing are preferred.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year.
