Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Health Economist to lead our efforts in providing economic research and technical support to our partners in support of tobacco tax campaigns. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health economics, policy advocacy, and experience working with global and local partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to country teams on tobacco tax advocacy efforts
  • Develop strategic advocacy plans to guide tobacco tax advocacy efforts
  • Work with the Research Team to develop and maintain a robust set of advocacy materials
  • Engage with global and local partners to design and execute effective advocacy campaigns
  • Develop and use research to counter opposition efforts
  • Provide training and technical assistance to local civil society, governments, and other stakeholders

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience in conducting and consuming health economics research
  • Familiarity with tax structures and finance entities around the world
  • Proficiency in econometric and other research methods
  • Demonstrated ability to assess relevance and translate public health and/or tobacco control and economics research
  • BA in Health Economics or related field
