About the Role

As a Sourcing Intern at Johnsonville, you will have the opportunity to work with our Meat and Ingredient Buyers, Packaging and MRO Buyers, and co-pack team to learn the fundamentals of making our business hum. You will be responsible for leading a strategic sourcing initiative through execution, working on cross-functional teams, and maintaining accurate and complete work records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a strategic sourcing initiative through execution, including leading vision, objectives, scope, and deliverables related to sourcing and strategic supply initiatives.
  • Work on cross-functional teams and work independently.
  • Maintain accurate and complete work records, such as a notebook and status reports.
  • Be an engaging participant of the Sourcing team, sharing your ideas, questions, problems, and results with other team members.
Requirements
  • Candidate must currently be working towards a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field from an accredited university.
  • Emphasis in Agriculture, Animal, Food, or Meat Science preferred.
  • Junior or Senior status preferred.
  • 3.5 minimum GPA strongly preferred.
  • Prior work experience preferred.
