Operations Manager, Veterinary Services

About the Role: Assistant Hospital Services ManagerThe Assistant Hospital Services Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless daily operations at assigned disciplines and departments. This includes creating an exceptional client experience, operational planning, staff training and development, scheduling, interviewing, hiring, and corrective actions. The successful candidate will have 5 years of management experience, with a background in human healthcare or veterinary services preferred.
Key Responsibilities:- Department Oversight: Ensure compliance with standard hospital operating procedures and local, state, and federal regulations.
- Resource Allocation & Staff Scheduling: Develop staff schedules to maximize productivity while managing labor within budget constraints.
- Collaboration with Medical Director: Work closely with the medical director to deploy medical services effectively within departments.
- Client and Pet Flow Management: Regularly assess and ensure efficient flow of clients and pets through departments.
- Resource Evaluation and Recommendation: Evaluate department needs and recommend resources, including equipment and staffing.
- Work Area Maintenance: Ensure clean, attractive, functional, safe work areas and equipment maintenance.
- Financial and Benchmarking Management: Participate in financial evaluations and benchmarking to achieve business goals.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
- 5 years managing or leading a team of 25+ people.
- Human healthcare or veterinary background a plus.
