Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team at Always Best Care Senior Service. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Human Resources Department and overseeing all personnel issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit and select employees based on their credentials and qualifications, including training and licensure.
  • Conduct personal interviews with all applicants and obtain written or verbal follow-up references and job history.
  • Verify education, experience, training, licensure, or certification as appropriate to job responsibilities.
  • Select and employ qualified individuals without regard to gender, race, age, creed, handicap, sexual orientation, or national origin.
  • Coordinate an orientation program for all new employees, including an introduction to the organization, staff, and employee rules and responsibilities.
  • Ensure that all employees receive ongoing education, including in-services, training, and other activities to maintain and improve staff competence.
  • Ensure that all employees meet their required mandatory training and keep records of in-services and employee certificates of attendance.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to ensure that all employees are meeting performance expectations.
  • Ensure that all employees are in compliance with mandatory requirements for employment.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintain strict professional ethics, confidentiality, and privacy of clients and/or family members.
  • Participate in personnel policies revisions when requested.
  • Assume responsibility for own personal and professional growth.
  • Attend outside meetings and/or conferences as requested by the President/CEO.

Job Conditions

The position is stressful in terms of meeting deadlines and requires minimal lifting of office records and printouts. It is primarily a desk job involving sitting, standing, stooping, and walking, as well as an inordinate amount of telephone communication. Travel is required for local, out-of-town, or state seminars, conferences, or meetings. The ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing, in English, is required.

Equipment Operation

The successful candidate will utilize a calculator, multi-line telephone, copy machine, and basic medical equipment.

Company Information

The successful candidate will have access to all client medical records, personnel records, and client financial accounts, which may be discussed with the Executive Director, Director of Reimbursement, Employee Relations, and Quality Assurance department staff, as well as outside government agencies.

Qualifications

A college degree and experience in HR are preferable. Experience in interviewing and recruitment of qualified applicants is required. Strong leadership and excellent interpersonal relationship abilities are essential.
