As a Datacenter Business Development Executive, you will have the opportunity to lead and cultivate new business opportunities with Datacenter sector clients, leveraging our customer-centric and innovative brand throughout the United States.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Developing and executing a sales growth plan through multiple markets across the US
  • Qualifying and disqualifying complex sales opportunities using a Solution Sales process methodology
  • Spearheading CEG's next stage of business development activities, identifying and driving sector-specific sales strategies that increase company revenue, branding, and impact
  • Serving as a direct client interface on all projects, leading customer meetings/presentations and negotiating contracts on behalf of the organization
  • Developing relationships with and identifying the technical needs of potential partners across all organizational levels
  • Coordinating internal engineering resources to evaluate sales recommendations, managing site audits, cost-savings calculations, and return-on-investment analyses
  • Representing CEG and identifying emerging energy sector trends at industry conferences, trade shows, and other networking events

Required qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree (Master's Degree preferred)
  • 5+ years of complex sales and/or direct business experience in the Datacenter industry
  • Consultative sales experience across a multi-state territory with proven experience in Return-on-Investment based financial transactions related to energy conservation, sustainability, or facility optimization programs

  • A passion for energy efficiency, renewable energy, and/or sustainability; experience with public-private partnerships preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively in professional and public settings, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work remote and travel nationally, as needed to accomplish the role
  • US work authorization
