**Job Description:

As a Registered Nurse (Safety) at the Porterville Developmental Center, you will provide professional nursing care and training for patients/clients following established standards and procedures.

You will work in a dynamic environment that requires ongoing interaction with clients, potential exposure to communicable diseases, blood-borne pathogens, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinical nursing environment.

**Key Responsibilities:

- Provide direct patient care and treatment according to established protocols and procedures

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans

- Participate in client containment, intervention, or restraint as necessary

- Float to all work areas within the facility as needed

- Maintain certification in ACLS and adhere to regulatory requirements

- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills

**Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Current RN licensure in the state of California

- Valid ACLS certification

- Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance

- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
