About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical/Plumbing Cost Manager to join our team at Turner & Townsend. As a key member of our cost management team, you will be responsible for providing expert mechanical and plumbing estimates on large-scale manufacturing construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide estimate and cost planning services, including producing and presenting the final cost plan.
  • Assist with feasibility studies and write procurement reports.
  • Perform all aspects of procurement, including managing the pre-qualification stage, producing bid lists, bid analysis, producing bid reports, and compiling contractual documents.
  • Participate effectively in post-contract cost variances and change control processes.
  • Manage cost checks and carry out valuations on larger projects.
  • Produce monthly post-contract cost reports and present to clients.
  • Provide input into value engineering, negotiate and approve final accounts.
  • Maintain liaison with clients and other consultants at all project stages.
  • Provide leadership to the cost management team, ensuring the delivery of all accountabilities.
Requirements
  • College degree in Engineering, Construction Management with a Technical Focus, Quantity Surveyor, or related technical field.
  • Minimum of 8 years post-graduate experience preparing large-scale MEP construction cost estimates.
  • Investor developer, corporate occupier, data center, and/or infrastructure construction experience is preferred.
  • Good understanding of all mechanical aspects related to construction projects.
  • Construction experience with plumbing systems is a plus.
  • Good technical experience in all cost management areas, including pre-contract, post-contract, and final account.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCad Navisworks, Google Suite, and/or other related computer software.
  • Good knowledge of all methods of construction procurement.
  • Experience with advising clients on value management, value engineering, and life cycle costing.
