Trenton, New Jersey, United States Netflix Full time
About the Role

The Content Production Data Engineering team at Netflix is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our global team. As a Data Engineer, you will play a key role in enabling our partners to develop data-driven workflow tooling that shapes the future of content production and promotion at a global scale.

You will work alongside data scientists, application developers, and product managers to develop performant and intuitive data interfaces to power statistical/machine learning-based data features in high-visibility internal Studio Creative Production workflow applications.

Key responsibilities will include serving as a key thought partner for stakeholders, cross-functional partners, and our diverse set of team members regarding large/novel datasets and system architectures.

Additionally, you will develop end-to-end data solutions, from data sourcing and pipeline development to persistence architecture and data service development.

Strong programming skills in Java and Python, familiarity with distributed OLAP data stores like Druid or Pinot, and experience with developing data pipelines in distributed frameworks like Spark are highly desired.

You will also engage with the Data Engineering and ML community, internal and external, to learn, to teach, and to contribute to building a great Netflix brand.

About You

We are looking for a talented, curious, and creative Data Engineer with a strong foundation in distributed system architecture and experience working with machine learning workloads, ideally in a multi-modal setting.

You will have excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical details to both technical and non-technical audiences.

You will thrive in fast-paced dynamic environments, contributing positively to the team and company culture.

4+ years of full-time work experience in one or more relevant SWE/Data Engineering roles are required.

What We Offer

Competitive compensation packages, including an annual salary and stock options.

A comprehensive benefits program, including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, and more.

A unique culture and environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.

A collaborative and fast-paced work environment that fosters growth and development.
