Speech-Language Pathologist Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our school-based team in Glenview, IL. In this role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech and language disorders, providing crucial support to enhance their communication skills and support their academic and social success.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' speech, language, and communication abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on each student's specific needs and goals.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, including both individual and group sessions.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom and home environments.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and student outcomes.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, providing insights and recommendations for students' speech and language goals.
  • Stay updated with the latest practices and advancements in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Valid license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Illinois.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and educational staff.
  • Experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
