As a Golf Starter at ClubCorp, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our golf courses. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the flow of play, enforcing all club rules and providing exceptional customer service to our members and guests.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide efficient and friendly customer service, displaying the Three Steps of Service as members and guests play golf.
- Maintain an orderly flow of play onto the golf course, adhering to tee times and club regulations.
- Assist members and guests in finding an appropriate game, maintaining a sufficient supply of scorecards, pencils, tees, and other necessities.
- Be on the course as scheduled, unless checking with the starters or other golf operations staff to report any incidents or situations that need attention.
- Enforce all club rules as they pertain to the golf course, maintaining a polite manner when approaching members or guests with a violation.
- Assist members and guests with lost balls, provide rides, and repair ball marks, fill divots with topsoil, and pick up loose articles on the golf course.
- Coordinate services with other golf operations staff to ensure seamless and efficient services for all members and guests.
- Be informed to let members and guests know of Club services, features, upcoming events, and specials available in the Golf Shop.
- Ensure all daily assignments are completed in their respective areas, meeting Club standards.
- A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
- Customer service experience and basic golf knowledge are essential.
- Ability to communicate effectively with proper grammar and work well under pressure, coordinating multiple tasks at any given time.
- Ability to focus attention on detail and maintain good conduct and safe working habits while in all areas of the Club.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary Company information and sensitive employee matters.
